Creating and Restoring Backups in Direct Admin
To backup your website on direct admin, follow these steps:
- First, login to your DirectAdmin Control panel. This can be done from your Client Portal or directly from the webhosting email you have received.
- In the DirectAdmin Control Panel, in the Your Account section, click on Create/Restore Backups.
- Select the items you would like to include in the backup, After selecting the items, click on Create Backup.
- In the next screen you will see the message "Backup creation added to queue", the times it takes for the backup to be complete varies according to the data.
- After waiting a couple of minutes you will see an icon at the top right corner indicating that you have a new message. Click on Message System.
- In the messages screen you can find the notification "Your backups are now ready".
Restoring a Backup
To restore the backup follow these steps:
- In the DirectAdmin Control Panel, in the Your Account section, click on Create/Restore Backups.
- In the second screen at the bottom select a file to restore and then click "Select Restore Options.
- In the Restore from File screen select the items you want to restore and click Restore Selected Items.
