Creating and Restoring Backups in Direct Admin

To backup your website on direct admin, follow these steps:

      1. First, login to your DirectAdmin Control panel. This can be done from your Client Portal or directly from the webhosting email you have received.
         
      2. In the DirectAdmin Control Panel, in the Your Account  section, click on Create/Restore Backups.

      3.  Select the items you would like to include in the backup, After selecting the items, click on Create Backup.

      4.  In the next screen you will see the message "Backup creation added to queue", the times it takes for the backup to be complete varies according to the data.

      5. After waiting a couple of minutes you will see an icon at the top right corner indicating that you have a new message. Click on Message System.

      6. In the messages screen you can find the notification "Your backups are now ready".

Restoring a Backup

To restore the backup follow these steps:

  1. In the DirectAdmin Control Panel, in the Your Account  section, click on Create/Restore Backups
     
  2. In the second screen at the bottom select a file to restore and then click "Select Restore Options.



  3. In the Restore from File screen select the items you want to restore and click Restore Selected Items.
